For cleaning greasy aluminum window blinds, use ammonia mixed with water. They can also be cleaned by placing in a hot bath with a little detergent, or by using a mixture of baking soda and water. If they are made out of a different material, say cloth, then remove them and put them on a towel. Use water and mild detergent mix as a cleaning product. Dip a baby toothbrush in the water mixture and softly brush them. Make sure that the brush does not become too greasy, otherwise it will soil the blinds instead of cleaning them.
Unlike non-cellular blinds, the blackout cellular fabric ensures complete privacy in your bedroom, nursery, or projector room. Normal window blinds have small openings between their slats, which is not the case with the cellular ones. They have been designed in such a way that there is no room for any 'sneak-peeking'. They can also be utilized in laboratories to carry out certain experiments which require absolute darkness. With small babies at home, it is difficult to lull them to sleep during the day, especially in the afternoon. The solution lies in covering their windows with these cellular blinds, as they not only create complete blackout but also reduce noise.
Venetian blinds are one of the most popular and good looking window blinds today. They, not only help to keep off the harmful ultraviolet rays, but also provide privacy. There are many types of horizontal and vertical blinds available today. Choosing the right type of blinds can go a long way to enhance your home decor. When it comes to venetian blinds, cleaning them is a completely different story altogether. The large number of little blinds are accumulated with dirt, dust, and sticky grease, which makes it difficult to clean. However, cleaning is extremely essential, as an unclean blind can pollute the air entering the house, which can affect the health of the family, especially the kids. So, without further ado, let's start.
Cotton liners are generally slightly more susceptible to the problems that come with the damp conditions; mainly because the material is much more absorbent than polyester. However, cotton liners come in a variety of different colors and styles giving them more breathing room in terms of being incorporated into a pre-existing theme that is heavily dependent on the shower curtain. As such, a cotton liner should be considered if you are worried that a bland or neutral based backdrop will clash with your overall bathroom theme. One thing to ensure, however, is that your cotton shower curtain liner has been treated to be resistant to dampness.
